Study at the EGS in 2025: Inspiration and Critical Freedom in Dark Times

The EGS has a rich line-up of seminars for 2025, all of which willl be open both to students in degree programs and to auditors.

Christopher Fynsk will present these opportunities in a Zoom meeting on Wednesday,April 9, 8 pm Paris time / 2 pm New York time. He will also address the evolving mission of the EGS in this moment of extremity when universities (and particularly fields pursuing critical thought) are under concerted assault and free speech is threatened in quite literal ways.

He will suggest what the EGS might offer to individuals whose academic paths are obstructed or who face inhospitable borders, and he will try to sketch more broadly how study at the EGS (either in-person or online) can bring surprising and valuable inspiration for people from any number of fields or professions.
