The EGS will continue its series of Open Lectures and the first speaker will be Frank Ruda.

Political Repetition in Times of Defeat

There are times when emancipatory politics not only appears to be absent, but even worse: impossible. These are times in which obscurantisms of all kinds reign, the most grotesque sovereigns govern, and expropriations of the most vulgar kind appear to worse this dynamic on a daily basis. These are times of war. The lecture will return to a historical conjuncture of this kind to examine what can be done when nothing seems to be possible. It will make a plea for creative political repetition.
