Benjamin Noys – The Future of a Negation: Negativity, Determination and the Negation of the Negation
The EGS will continue its series of Open Lectures with the following lecture:
Benjamin Noys – The Future of a Negation: Negativity, Determination and the Negation of the Negation
The logical response to our current world would appear to be one of radical negation. Confronting a world of total degradation results in any way out appearing as a utopian mirage. This radical negation, however, is limited to a Romantic gesture that further deepens our alienation from the world. Instead, I want to explore a more classical dialectic in which we move from radical negativity, through determinate negativity, and on to the negation of the negation.
Tuesday, May 5 at 8 p.m. Paris time.
This lecture will be on Zoom and you can attend it by using this link.
